Specialty Booths

These Specialty Booths will be with us in 2023

 Scroll Saw Corral

Volunteers from the Veterans Freedom Center will be on hand in the Scroll Saw Corral to help you get started at scroll sawing. They will answer your questions, offer helpful advice, and show you techniques that will make scroll sawing easier. Kids are welcome here with an adult to accompany them.  Someone can help you through the process of making a project and then you can take it home with you when you are finished.

Pen Turning Center

The Veterans Freedom Center will provide ongoing demonstrations and a “make & take” opportunity. They will walk you through the process of turning your very own pen – which you can take home with you when you are done

The Breezy Ridge Quilt Of Valor Quilters

The Breezy Ridge Quilt of Valor Quilters will have an information booth to explain what they are doing for our Veterans. They will set up sewing machines so visitors to their booth can sew a quilt block or a presentation case (pillowcase). They will demonstrate how to do the quilt blocks and cases and will also have kits available with fabric cut & ready to sew. There is no cost to sew but donations to this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated and donation jars will be available. Everything sewn at the show will stay with Quilts Of Valor but patterns for the blocks & cases will be provided if people want to take them home to make their own.

Scrollers of Milwaukee Scroll Saw Club

The Milwaukee Scrollers will be handing out information on their club. They always have a nice display of their variety of projects and are willing and eager to talk about scroll sawing to show attendees.

The Veterans Freedom Center

The Veterans Freedom Center of Dubuque, IA is a place for all Veterans to gather and do scroll sawing, pen turning, crafts and other activities at no cost to the Veteran. They hold scroll saw classes with the help of The Art Factory and also teach Veterans how to make pens. Visit the Veterans Freedom Booth to learn more about what this great organization offers to Veterans. Also, be sure to stop at The Veterans Freedom Center on Thursday evening to tour the newly remodeled facility. (See more information about the tours on the side menu.)

Cedar Valley Wood Carvers

Carving and pyrography demonstrations throughout the show.
